Cape Cod Pro-Am League Weekly Tournament Update
JOHNSON WINS CAPE COD PRO-AM LEAGUE EVENT (May 4th 2011)
Plainville, Mass. pro, Tom Johnson captured his second Cape Cod Pro-Am League win of the season on Wednesday shooting a 5-under-par 67 at the Waverly Oaks Golf Course in Plymouth.
Johnson’s round was highlighted by an eagle on the par 5 fifth hole along with four other birdies.
Johnson Wins CCPAL Cummaquid Tournament (April 20th 2011)
Plainville, Mass. pro Tom Johnson (Dick’s Sporting Goods – Natick) scored his first victory of the 2011 Cape Cod Pro-Am League season with an even-par 71 on Wednesday at the Cummaquid G.C.
Johnson opened his round with a birdie but then suffered three straight bogies before settling in. He then went 2-under par on the final fourteen holes.
Three pros and one amateur shared second place with 74s. They were pros Bob Giusti (Halifax), Wayne St. Cyr (LeBaron Hills) and Jeff Dantas (Elite Golf) along with low amateur, Mike Boden (Hyannis)
Johnson teamed with Bob Miller (Golf Club at Yarmouth Port) to win the pro-pro team event.
